Those who know me are well aware that I have more than an average fondness for good food. As I have often remarked, I come in the bumble-bee version, not the wasp waist. At this time of year I’m looking forward to one of my favourite summer sandwiches, which is only around for a week or two every season: young white goat’s cheese loaded with pink rose petals on a satisfyingly crunchy baguette.
