Inky Impression
Les Pounder enjoys pop art and eight-bit computers, so this new screen from Pimoroni is an ideal way to display his favourite style of art.
IN BRIEF
A 5.7-inch, seven-colour (black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, orange) ePaper display designed for advert, compatible with most models of Raspberry Pi.
Inky Impression was made for displaying art and information on our desktop. Thanks to an easy-to-use Python library and easy assembly, anyone can have this low-power display serving them useful content.
E lectronic paper (ePaper) is still remarkable despite being with us for well over a decade. These displays are still dominated by monochrome models, but there are some coloured screens available – notably the Inky Phat boards that can display three colours. So when we saw that Pimoroni now offered a seven-colour ePaper display, we had to take a look.
