When you create a hot corner, you can press a key such as ß as you select its action. The corner won’t activate if that key isn’t pressed.
As convenient as macOS is, sometimes it could be a bit more convenient: who wants to look down at the keyboard to remember which key fires up Launchpad or shows the Desktop or app windows?
And what if you’d rather activate the Notification Centre from the top left of your screen rather than the top right? Hot Corners are here to help by making it even faster to access useful system features. In this tutorial we’re using macOS Monterey, but Hot Corners are available in older versions of macOS too; the feature was introduced more than 10 years ago and it’s been in macOS ever since.
