As you’ve seen, Shortcuts is a versatile tool which Apple has supported over the years. The launch of iOS 17 introduced an Open Camera action, for instance, which lets you create a shortcut that opens the Camera app into a specific capture mode. Set it to Selfie, Portrait, Portrait Selfie, Photo, Cinematic, Slo-Mo, Time-Lapse, Pano or Video and you’ll be ready to grab that perfect shot or take rolling footage in seconds.
