PREMIERE ELEMENTS 2024 has some interesting new features to offer, but are they enough to motivate owners of older versions of Premiere Elements to pay for an upgrade? We’ll answer that key question in due course.
One of Premiere Elements 2024’s key strengths is its ability to help the novice video editor create short video sequences from long, unedited clips. If you’ve no video editing experience at all, the Guided Edit workspace will show you step by step how to perform tasks such as trimming clips, adding transitions and adjusting shadows and highlights. As you gain confidence by following guided instructions you can then explore more complex guided edits such as Animated Sky, which shows you how to use the Ultra Key tool to replace a photo’s sky with an animated video clip on the layer below. iMovie also enables you to combine layered clips using blue or green screen keying, but it lacks the step–by–step instructions provided here.
