Meta ends fact–checking
Facebook “restoring free expression”
META HAS ANNOUNCED major changes to content moderation on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. Facebook introduced fact–checking in 2016, with more than 90 independently certified bodies verifying information on the platform globally. But these fact– checkers, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “have just been too politically biased and have destroyed more trust than they have created, especially in the US.”
