Most of us, by now, know the importance of using secure passwords for accounts online. And we also know the importance of storing them somewhere secure, like macOS’ iCloud Keychain, or a password manager. While there are several excellent password managers available for the Mac, Buttercup stands apart because it’s open source and completely free to use. Additionally, it has an iOS app that you can sync with using Dropbox, Google Drive, or a WebDAV server. Sadly, however, while there are browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox, there isn’t one for Safari.
