INTEL’S 13TH GENERATION
Raptor Lake looking fierce
AFTER WHAT SEEMED like a quiet summer, we’re now experiencing a flood of new silicon, including Intel’s 13th-generation processors. The hybrid design mixes performance cores and efficiency cores. We’ve PCIe 5.0, DDR5, at least five clever boost methods and more. There’s no node shrink, instead, it uses the same Intel 7 process. For that innovation, we’ll have to wait for Meteor Lake. Intel claims the world’s fastest desktop processor title and best gaming experience. There will be 22 versions in all, the initial ones being the Core i9-13900, i7-13700, and i5-13600, available in K, and KF versions (the latter without integrated graphics).
