Transport for Wales has taken delivery of its first refurbished Class 153/5 with a modified interior designed for carrying bicycles. Now carrying a colourful livery depicting landmarks along the scenic Heart of Wales Line, 153531 was released from Chrysalis Rail’s Swansea Landore depot in November. The ‘153/5s’ have also been fitted with controlled emission toilets and will work with TfW Class 153s on the Swansea-Shrewsbury route.
