HUNT PROVEN CARBON ENDURO H_CORE V3 WHEELS

Hunt’s flagship enduro wheels are aimed at riders who want to enjoy the performance benefits of carbon fibre rims without spending more than necessary.

The UK brand say these hoops are “strong enough to endure your biggest landings and rowdiest tracks, yet compliant enough to keep you on your line” and are suitable for e-MTBs with up to 120Nm of torque.

Their clever H_Core technology integrates pultruded, highly compacted carbon inserts between the bed and sidewalls of the hookless rims to boost impact resistance.

While the front rim has a 31mm internal width, claimed to improve tyre support, the rear is a narrower 30mm and has thicker sidewalls, both for extra strength. Similarly, 28 triple-butted spokes are used up front, but that increases to 32 out back, where the spokes are also 0.1mm thicker in the middle, for a stronger build.

Hunt spec their own H_ Ratchet XL 40T DBL hubset, with a 40-tooth, double-ratchet ring system at the rear that offers 9° engagement. It’s compatible with Shimano HG, Micro Spline and SRAM XD drivers.
