Dapol added the Master and the eponymous creatures from The Sea Devils (1972, right) to their collection in 1997 – the former relying heavily on a neat salt-and-pepper beard to summon up the rogue Time Lord. A Sea Devil with a greeny-yellow face, a detachable gun accessory and a fishing-net gown (below right) numbered among the first wave of Character’s ‘classic series’ figures in 2008. The following year, an exclusive Forbidden Planet set contained a darker brown Sea Devil (below left) alongside a caped Third Doctor, complete with sonic screwdriver accessory for navigating his way through coastal minefields.
