Council bosses say a flood barrier to go next to the Black Lynn footpath is being made and will be put in place as soon as possible.
Workers from the council were at the site last week building up the burn with mounds of earth and positioning sandbags.
Hugh Carmichael, whose home was left nine inches under water after the October floods, said he was relieved to see the workmen, but said: ‘I’m glad they’ve done what they’ve done but it’s just a temporary fix.
