It is remarkable how upbeat Agnes MacKechnie remains after the harrowing and horrific ordeal she has been through over the past few weeks.
Agnes, who lives in Creag an Airm in Oban, suffered extremely serious injuries when she was mown down by a pick-up truck in a hit-and-run accident in the United States at Hallowe’en.
However, despite having to endure numerous surgical procedures and spending weeks in St Luke’s Hospital in the city of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Agnes is now home with her family – and is understandably thrilled to be back. And it is testament to her strength of character that she had the grace to talk to The Oban Times this week about the events that occurred.
