obby Krieger played a few SGs with The Doors, but the one you
hear at the start of Roadhouse Blues is the one to remember – a ’67 SG Standard with a vibrola tailpiece. The simple combination of PAFs and mahogany gave the guitars unforgettable bite. SGs also featured on Light My Fire, Love Me Two Times, and Love Her Madly, the most enduring Doors classics, although sometimes Krieger chose a P90-equipped Special for extra bark.
