STUDENT representatives from Tobermory High School told Argyll and Bute Councillors at Oban, Lorn and the Isles Area Committee meeting last Wednesday how much the loss of their school minibus has affected school activities. Funding cuts saw the school lose the use of the mini bus at the end of April.
Zac Finch (S5) said: ‘We have to hire coaches to go on trips which increases the price of the trips. After school clubs are affected too – the mini bus meant kids could get home afterwards for free.’
The councillors present said they were not aware that the minibus had been taken away and that they would look into the matter.
