Saints Under 13s do the double

Oban Saints Under 13s won the league and shield double in the Dumbarton Development Football League. On Saturday June 4 the boys drew 3-3 with Milngavie in the Michael McGinley Shield final but won 4-3 on penalties. Scoring for Saints were Neville Russell (2) and Ruairidh Munro. Goalkeeper Innes Horne saved two spot kicks in the penalty shoot-out. A day later the boys clinched the Under 13s DFDL league title by virtue of a hard-fought 0-0 draw away to Ardencaple. Everybody at the club congratulates the boys for a superb first season at 11-a-side football. The boys are pictured celebrating with the league championship trophy.
