STIRLING – Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 601 store cattle and 411 store hoggets and ewes with lambs at foot, on Monday May 15.

Bullocks averaged 226ppkg, selling to 281ppkg for a Charolais from B & M Rozga, Kilmeny, Ballygrant, Islay, and to £1290 for an Aberdeen Angus from J & J Brown, Loanrigg, Slamannan.

Heifers averaged 220ppkg, selling to 285ppkg for a Limousin from G Stewart, Wester Whin, Slamannan, and to £1270 for a BB from K & A Graham, Easterton, Argaty.

Bulls averaged 169ppkg, selling to 236p for a Simmental from W Colquhoun & Son, Burnbrae, Gartocharn, and to £1000 again for a Simmental from A M Duncan, Easter Dullatur.
