AT THE February meeting of Muckairn Church Guild, Hugh Henderson of Mission International spoke about The Haiti Project, for which the guild is to raise money with a coffee morning on May 6. Mission International is based in Dundee and started in 2006. It has projects in several African countries, as well as India, Peru and Haiti.

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, where only 48 per cent of the people are literate. In 2010, a massive earthquake left 200,000 people dead and more than a million homeless.
