Sale of cattle on Thursday, May 19

CALEDONIAN Marts, Stirling, held a sale of 168 cattle last Thursday.

Prime bullocks averaged – 199p. Prime heifers averaged – 204p. OTM cattle – 147p. Beef cows averaged – 121p. Dairy cows averaged – 108p. Young bulls averaged – 171p. Cast bulls averaged – 107p.

Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 168 cattle, comprising of 86 prime bullocks and heifers, 15 young bulls, three OTM cattle and 64 cast cows and bulls.

Caledonian Marts Ltd held their annual show and sale of Limousin prime cattle on the same day, sponsored by the British Limousin Cattle Society and judged by Scott Watson, Forfar.
