A mountain rescue volunteer from Lochaber has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List.
Jonathan Hart, from Achnacarrry, a Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team volunteer for over 20 years and the chairman of Scottish Mountain Rescue, has been given the accolade for services to mountain rescue in Scotland and his charity work.
Mr Hart, who runs Coastguard operations for Argyll and the Hebrides areas, said if it was not for the support of other team members and his partner, Emma Pearce, who is also a team member, he would not be honoured in this way.
