GRASS-CUTTING services across the Highlands are being reviewed.
The current cost of providing these services is £2.393million, included in an overall grounds Highland Council maintenance budget of £4.2million.
Following an agreement on August 18, a paper is set to go to the Highland Council’s community service committee today (Thursday November 3) recommending changes. Options being looked at are in-house provision, full privatisation and a mixed service. It has already been agreed grass cutting in Skye and Lochalsh will be delivered in-house.
