How to put a stop to sexual harassment

With regard to Councillor Julie Mc- Kenzie’s comments (The Oban Times, November 9), I sympathise absolutely with her and others who have been sexually harassed and bullied while at work.

Complaining to your employers leads only to attempts at appeasement or fudged efforts to play it down. In my long working life, I have, like many others, signed employment contracts, rules of conduct and the Official Secrets Act. In not one of these was there a clause which stated that I may sexually harass a colleague or anyone else.
