Editor’s letter
According to the United Nations, more than half the world’s population now lives in cities. So as much as we would like all our swims to be in isolated riverways and bucolic tarns, for us urban dwellers our swimming spots have to be a little more prosaic. In this issue we meet the swimmers of Hampstead Heath, a wild swimming oasis in central London, swim in the waters around Dubai and cross Lake Geneva.
