While it’s stylistically distinct (though equally colourful), favouring pop beats in an otherworldy opera house, this 2D-3D hybrid action game reminds me of the outlandish El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. Switching perspectives, altering the scenery. The game treats its world like a stage to be decorated as befits the scene. You play as Jolene, armed with a sword, hellbent on rescuing her mother from a supernatural theatre. It’s a fun premise but there’s tough competition in the character action genre – here’s hoping this contender can hold its own.
