WHERE CAN WE FIND TOWING LESSONS?
Q We recently bought our first caravan and at the moment, I am doing all of the towing because my partner is too nervous.
They’re keen to learn, though. We’re wondering, are lessons in towing available? If so, what kind of things do you learn? And do you need to provide your own caravan?
1 A specialist training course will show you how to hitch up, manoeuvre and tow your caravan with confidence
2 The RAC provides the Camping and Caravanning Club’s Arrival breakdown cover, designed specifically for caravanners
3 AFFF fire extinguishers are recommended for caravans
Paul Critcher replies...
The Camping and Caravanning Club and the Caravan and Motorhome Club offer two separate caravan towing courses, one for beginners and the other for those with more experience.
Courses cover everything, from hitching up, easy manoeuvring and loading to reversing and levelling. They are also available in a variety of locations.
