With the release of Photoshop CC 2022, the Object Selection Tool has evolved further. Now you can hover over objects in the image and the tool gives you a handy overlay preview to show what will be included. You then simply click on the area to make a selection. You can go on to cut out the area, or apply a selective adjustment, use filters, or make any other changes.
