REVOLVING DOORS
VOTERS may be turning away from Labour in droves, but the corporate sector is still keen to hire Labour party insiders.
James Lyons, who helped write the 2024 Labour manifesto while he was still head of communications at TikTok, before being taken on as Keir Starmer’s own communications chief, quit Starmer’s office in September to take up the corporate shilling again. He joined the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), a US company running a “corporate insight network”. Its clients include hedge funds and other investors who pay GLG a chunky subscription for access to its “experts”.
