MY PROG
The great and good of progressive music give us a glimpse into their prog worlds. As told to Grant Moon
Lee Pomeroy
Where’s home?
Crowborough in Sussex. I’ve been here about two and half years.
Earliest prog memory?
Listening to my elder brother Steve playing records by Genesis, Yes and Be-Bop Deluxe in the room next to mine. I was about nine and remember thinking, “I don’t know what that hippie shit is, but I like it!”
First prog album purchased?
Peter
Gabriel
III [Melt] in 1980, because I loved the single Games Without Frontiers. No Self Control’s on there, Intruder, Family Snapshot –it’s brilliant.
And the last?
The Claypool Lennon Delirium’s South Of Reality. That and the first one, Monolith Of Phobos –I love it. Sean Lennon, what a guitarist!
