“The first thing I remember about prog is my dad had bought Genesis’ …And Then There Were Three… album. Then my dad took us to see Rush in Scotland, because he knew them – it’s hard to imagine but they used to open for Nazareth in Canada. It was way over my head because I was 10, but I remember watching Neil Peart, and it was great. Later, I watched Marillion from the side of the stage, and Fish was just like a creature from another planet with all the makeup and his moves. I got into prog musically with Yes’ Owner Of A Lonely Heart – people might find that strange but it was a good place to start.
