There are several ways to create fire using 3D software, from the use of actual footage to physical simulation. For this quick tutorial we’re going to use Blender to create a simple, realistic flame effect for a fireplace.
Our first step consists of the creation of the fire model. In this case I started from the basic geometry of a sphere, deleting half of it, and from this point I created a vaguely pyramid shape. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect, in fact it shouldn’t be straight.
