This issue of Airports of the World includes a major on the UK’s Birmingham Airport. The Midlands facility is ideally placed to serve a wide catchment, including London. This factor will be even more relevant by 2026 when the HS2 high speed rail link from the capital is due to open. Further afield the issue covers the many small airports of the Tonga Islands in the southwest Pacific.
