Christie’s spring decorative arts sale will take place on May 22. It features works by some of the current hot favourites in this field, notably the Lalannes and Rembrandt Bugatti. Among the Bugattis is this bronze of a walking panther, a lost-wax cast by the Hébrard foundry of a model of 1904. It was acquired by the vendor’s family from the Hébrard gallery in the 1930s and has passed down by descent.
It has an estimate of €250,000-350,000.
