ARDRISHAIG Hall will play host to a frenzy of jazz as Swing 2017 come to Mid Argyll. The Mid Argyll Arts Association has once again secured top quality musicians to come and perform this Saturday, March 11, with doors opening at 7.30pm. The group – comprising Roy Percy on double bass, John Russell on guitar and vocals, Stephen Coutts on electric guitar and Seonaid Aitken on piano – are currently on a tour of Argyll and Bute. Swing 2017 has, in various formats, been playing across Scotland with the band’s unique style of jazz since 1980. The group play the music of classic jazz composers and musicians, such as Django Rein-hart, Count Basie, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and others. Ardrishaig Hall will be set up in a relaxed café style format for this concert and you are welcome to bring your own bottle.
Tickets cost £12 (£10 for concession, free for students).
