COMPETITORS were treated to a glorious sunny autumn day for the annual Daltote hunter trials, held on Sunday October 9.
Classes were available for all, from prepre-novice in lead rein through to pre-novice, novice, intermediate and open. Conditions on the cross-country course were excellent on the day. Horses and riders enjoyed a challenging course, taking them up and around the hillside overlooking Loch Sween, with the open and intermediate classes taking 24 jumps along the way; novice with 20; pre-novice with 18; and pre-pre-novice with 10 jumps.
The cross-country also included the fun of the pairs jumping for those who were up for another go. The thrill of completing the cross-country course was evident on the faces of the riders as they reached the finishing line.
