Already a multiple new-car-award winner, the Volvo XC90 has proven its market-leading strength by being crowned Best Used Luxury SUV in the Diesel Car and Eco Car Used Car Top 50. The honour demonstrates the lasting quality of the XC90 and the sustained appeal of its contemporary design, efficient powertrains, luxury specification, and advanced connectivity and safety technology.
Announcing the award in today’s issue of Diesel Car and Eco Car magazine, Editor Ian Robertson said: “This fantastic luxury SUV is a triumph of subtle design. The interior is a lovely place to spend time thanks to Volvo’s trademark seats and a tablet-style touchscreen that removes any clutter from the dashboard. If you’re lucky enough to find one with the optional Bowers & Wilkins audio system, give it a listen because it turns the XC90 into a concert hall on wheels.”
The top-50 list was determined by the magazine’s team of second-hand car experts, who took a wide range of issues into account, including purchase price, residual value, general ability and fitness for purpose. More than 750 vehicles were considered, from which the XC90 made the final top 50, in 32nd place. Volvo was further represented by the V40 premium compact family car in 35th place.
