Starting on Tuesday July 24, Fèis Arainn will be back in Arran High School to welcome the 67 youngsters who have registered to attend this tuition-based festival of Gaelic culture and participate in their choice of workshops in traditional musical instruments, Gaelic singing and language through drama.
The following evening, Wednesday 25, the renowned Fèis family ceilidh will take place in Whiting Bay Village Hall starting at 7.30pm. The talented instrumental tutors will provide first class dancing music and Mairi Macinnes, a former Mòd gold medallist and frequent performer on radio and television, will sing during the evening.
This is an event for everyone, both locals and visitors of all age groups whether you have a youngster at the Fèis or not. It is a BYOB evening with a juice bar and, of course, a raffle. At £7 an adult ticket, it is the bargain of the summer. Tickets can be bought at the door.
