Football fans flock to fantasy book launch

A squad of young readers and fans of football joined children’s author Angela Proctor at the launch of her new book called Thumble Tumble and the Eagalach Cup which is based on a fantasy adventure set on Arran with a football storyline.

The book, which is the third in the series, was an exciting new addition for the children who follow the adventures of Thumble Tumble and an opportunity to meet the author who has involved children in the series through school visits, competitions and various private readings.

The launch in Brodick Hall last Saturday allowed children to buy a copy of the new book and provided them with fun activities where they met some of the witches, wizards and characters from the book. Among these was a game of eagalach (football), drawing and colouring and a quiz along with some sweet treats and chocolates from a magical cauldron.
