This month’s beautiful edition features fantastic artists and fine art photographers, along with two fascinating exhibitions showcased at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum.
The Whitney Museum of American Art presents a refreshed look at the Museum’s celebrated highlights of the collection. It also features new acquisitions. “Untitled” (America) is a dynamic exhibition and a design that forges connections across subjects and decades. The Met Museum presents the first major exhibition on Man Ray’s radical reinvention of art through the Rayograph. It features 160 Rayographs, as well as paintings, objects, prints, drawings, films, and photographs. Petra Stefankova is exhibiting work from two beautiful illustration-based series: Dialogue & Free Mind and Naturelogy, Waterlogy, and Prayer. Tianyi Sun showcases sculptures that take the form of material reconstructions: cast replicas, sealed surfaces, and translucent architectures. These works capture, preserve, or distort. Lihui Liang exhibits fantastic, unique naive art that inspires one to find fulfillment through expressions of counterreality. Xavier Ponce presents his latest photography project, Full Circle. This is a personal and visual exploration of circularity—not only as a recurring architectural motif, but also as a deeper metaphor for human rhythm, continuity, and return.
Paschal Kenechukwu Okafor is exploring the interrogation of cultural identity through fascinating oil paintings.
Continuing with evocative portraiture, Elizabeth Gorcey is Absorbing The Weight of Humanity through unique portraits and spiritual scenes.
