I know what you’re thinking: what the muddy hell is that monstrosity? Some of you may even be wondering if this is a car at all. Well, bits of it are…

I’d like to proudly introduce my Volkswagen Beetle-based Buggy, which my dad and I use to take part in classic trials. It may not be much of a looker, but when barrelling up fearsome hillside tracks – on which rocks, roots, trees and mud conspire to strand you at every turn – you don’t really worry about looking the part.
