MOTHER OF THE BRIDE: WEDDING DRAMA
Judy Finnigan has had a wonderful year, with two new grandchildren and her daughter Chloe Madeley’s engagement to James Haskell. But with the upcoming wedding around six weeks away, preparing to be mother of the bride is taking its toll on Judy, seventy, who said that she’s been overwhelmed by all the things going on in her personal life. “I’ve been a nervous wreck this October,” she said, adding that she and husband Richard Madeley, sixty two, have been “so swamped by the huge events being experienced by our four grown-up children that I can’t think about anything else.” Daughter Chloe, 31, announced she was engaged to professional rugby player James Haskell, thirty three, back in March, with plans to tie the knot in 2020 after the Rugby World Cup. However, she recently revealed that they had changed their minds and were now having a small, intimate pre-Christmas wedding near Windsor, with only thirty guests. So, she’s gone from having more than two years to plan her big day, to just a few weeks.
