Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 2,679 prime lambs, ewes and tups at its Christmas show and sale on Tuesday, December 11.
The judge of the show, which was sponsored by AA Oils, Stirling, was Jamie Scott from John Scott Meat Ltd, Sandyford Road, Paisley. Mr Scott’s awards were as follows: 1 Beltex and champion: DS & RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, for a pen of 43.6kg lambs at £132 purchased by the judge; 2 Beltex and reserve champion: J B Guthrie, Cuiltburn for a pen of 43kg lambs at £120 purchased by Richard Johnston,
