Classic Military Vehicle Magazine #150 Bulldog Mentality Edição anterior

So how was that for a summer? Good heavens, there was no need to get the waterproofs out every weekend – for which, I’m sure, many a show organiser was mightily thankful. And so was I; it made a change to photograph vehicles in the sunlight. For instance Warwick Boulton’s Walker Bulldog, this month’s cover and centrespread feature. Frankly, you could almost fill the entire magazine with the story behind such superb restorations but, as it is, Vicki Oliver’s The Bulldog Mentality on page 42 certainly conveys the effort and frustration attached to major-league projects. While I’m fascinated by the custom car and hot rod scene wherein modifications from mild to wild are the rule, when it comes to military vehicles I’m very definitely in favour of keeping things as original as possible. Would you expect any different from the editor of a magazine with the word ‘classic’ in
the title? But there is certainly a contrary argument (apart from ‘it’s my vehicle and I’ll do what I want
with it’), particularly when it comes to ensuring that a vintage classic is going to be reliable enough to
use by swapping the old, tired engine for something that will start more often than not. Mike Gillman put that argument very well indeed when we talked about his newly unrestored but engine-swapped
Ward LaFrance M1A1 for the feature Yellow Peril on page 18. Read it and make your own mind up. Feel free to write or e-mail in with your general thoughts on the subject.

Classic Military Vehicle

wonderful magazine Revisto 16 abril 2020

Best Military Vehicle Mag Out there

There are many specialist military vehicle mags, but this one is still the best for the range of topics / articles and quality. Revisto 01 outubro 2018

Found it again

Didn't know this magazine was still going as its not in my local shop anymore. Great to find it still is and thinking about a digital subscription now as it is so much cheaper, and I think I prefer the digital version without the staples in it. Revisto 16 julho 2013
