An alternative image of pop favourite Clare Grogan is currently appearing in Neil Simon’s play, Barefoot In The Park. The production moves from Pitlochry Festival Theatre in March to the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh, between 3-25 April and Clare had to overcome nerves along the way. “It’s been seven years since I’ve been on a stage, acting,” she explained. “I’m genuinely feeling a bit sick about the prospect now. I know I just need to get there, start doing it, and things will be great… I hope.” This year got off to a strong start for Clare, who besides hosting her own BBC Scotland TV show Corner Shop Cook-Off, continues to perform as Altered Images. With more gigs due around summer festival time she told The Times: “I’m still getting to do things I set out to do 40 years on. And I can’t feel anything but good about that. Not in a conceited way, just in the sense that I must have got something right.”
