Eurythmics reunited on 9 December for the first time in five years as Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox took to the stage of New York’s Beacon Theatre as part of Sting’s Rainforest Fund concert. The duo played a three-song set of Would I Lie To You?, Here Comes The Rain Again and, of course, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). “Dave and I would like to thank Sting and Trudie [Styler] from the bottom of our hearts,” Lennox told the lucky crowd at the event that also featured Bruce Springsteen, Shaggy and Sting. “It’s the first time that we’ve gotten together in a little bit of time.” The synth-pop duo last performed together in 2014 for a Beatles tribute concert in Los Angeles.
