Talk Talk tribute concert unveiled
Musicians who performed with Talk Talk have announced details of a tribute concert in honour of late frontman Mark Hollis who passed away in February. A Celebration Of Talk Talk And Mark Hollis will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 26 November featuring founding keyboardist Simon Brenner. The concert is expected to feature further musicians who played with Hollis – in and out of Talk Talk – including guitarist Jeep Hook, bassist John McKenzie, percussionist Martin Ditcham and pianist Rupert Black. However, original Talk Talk bassist Paul Webb, drummer Lee Harris and keyboardist Tim Friese-Greene will not be involved in the event. Nevertheless, this will be a rare opportunity to enjoy Talk Talk’s music live as Hollis called time on the band’s concert performances in 1986.
