It's the first issue of DieselCar in 2013 and it's jam packed with the latest news, road tests and features. There's news of the hot new Nissan Juke rival, the Peugeot 2008, details on Skoda's new Octavia and information on the facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet. We get behind the wheel of the new Ford Kuga, facelifted Suzuki Grand Vitara and Honda Civic equipped with the super frugal 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine. We've also tested the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake and Land Rover Freelander 2 on home turf for the first time.
Hyundai's new Santa Fe seven-seater goes head to head with the Chevrolet Captiva, and Jaguar's svelte new XF Sportbrake is pitched against the Audi A6 Avant. We're also one of the first to get our hands on Kia's facelifted Sorento, and drive the Mercedes-Benz A 220 CDI AMG Sport, Citroën C5 Tourer Exclusive HDi 200 and Volvo V60 D2 SE Powershift. That Volvo is one of the few cars that doesn't result in a fuel economy penalty for choosing a car with just two pedals – great for those readers that prefer a more laid back approach to motoring, without any extra costs at the fuel pumps.
We've delved into the subject of BioDiesel to ask exactly how green is it, and have an invaluable guide to DAB digital radio. If you aren't sure how it will affect you in the future and the kind of kit you'll need to fork out for, you really can't miss our comprehensive guide. We've also compared a last generation Kia cee'd SW up against the very latest Kia cee'd Sportswagon to see which is best. And as well as our regulars like Doctor Diesel, The Extra Mile and our extensive Marketplace section amongst others, this month we give used car buying guide advice for the Fiat Bravo 1.9 MultiJet.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Revisto 21 agosto 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
