Thanks to class-leading towing and payload capacities, a stout TorqShift transmission, and the proven 6.7L Power Stroke under the hood, Ford’s Super Duty seems to have it all these days. Still, that’s not enough for some. Even though Jon Cain purchased his ‘16 F-350 specifically for tow duty—and had no intention of going beyond a simple exhaust system and a tune—he found himself upgrading turbochargers just 10,000 miles later. Soon after that, things snowballed into a full engine build, with big fuel, compounds, and a built transmission all proving irresistible. “I’ve got ‘vehicle performance addiction,’” Cain told us. “I’ve had it since I was a teenager.”
