Abstract, in-camera movement (ICM) photos are my craft. I love taking photos of everyday objects and changing their perspective and form with movement: it takes the audience on a journey.
I was diagnosed with Asperger’s at the age of 12 and severe OCD later, which led me to face challenges such as talking to people and making friends; it has often led me to feel lost. But for my 14th birthday, I got my own DSLR camera, a Nikon D3100. I fell in love with it. Photography magazines inspired me to develop my passion. I then discovered YouTube and began to teach myself photography.
I went from a dark and lonely place to becoming invested in an artform that takes my focus away from the negativity in my life. My journey so far has been very difficult, but photography has helped me express my emotions in a safe way.
