Our busy schedules can sometimes make it a challenge to maintain balance; the times we need it most are usually the times we neglect our wellbeing and routine. I’m lucky to come from a culture where practices of wellbeing are a part of daily life, which has perhaps allowed me to feel more open to exploring different tools. I thought this month I’d share some of what works for me.
I started practising Buddhist chanting meditation over 20 years ago. My dear friend Max is a beautiful soul and encouraged me to try the practice, which he credited for much of his positive frequency and success in life. I fell in love with the philosophy and the time I spent each day connecting with myself helped me feel grounded and dialled into my purpose. At times when I’ve felt low or challenged, my Buddhist friends have been on hand to guide me and sit and chant through it with me. This connection with my inner self and the belief that anything can be overcome or transformed through this practice has led me to where I am today. If you want to ind out more, I recommend reading The Buddha In Daily Life by Richard Causton.
