DNA Magazine | DNA #300 – 25 Year Anniversary
This month is a milestone for DNA. We hit our #300th issue and celebrate our 25th anniversary. That’s 12 issues a year for the last 25 years, a lot of beautiful photography of sexy men, some hilarious interviews with pop stars and our Straight Mates, a lot of politics and in-depth features on sex, gay male culture, history, physical and mental health.
Long-time contributors Marc Andrews and Matthew Myers tell us their DNA stories and reveal some details that haven’t always made it to the page. Photographer Christian Scott has shot over 30 covers for DNA, and he takes us behind-the-scenes on a DNA cover shoot. Founding Editor, Andrew Creagh’s feature The Male Body Is Still Taboo explains why DNA is such an important part of gay culture.
Jonathan Berry is currently Mr Universe and is the first Australian man, the first Indigenous person, and the first openly queer man to hold the title. In our interview, he discusses overcoming childhood trauma and future ambitions. We’ve also shot him in a very sexy way!
